Hybrids: Forging New Realities

A constant synthesis of real and virtual dynamics is transforming the way we produce, disseminate, and consume knowledge. Hybrids explores the impact of major advances in imaging and communication technologies on the medium of photography. This exhibition brings together 11 artists who examine the state of their discipline and the dialogue between humans and technology.

Futures is a European platform for the promotion of photography, comprising 19 institutions working with the medium. Each of the artists participating in this exhibition was nominated by one of the platform’s member institutions. Its goal is to pool the photography community’s resources to support the professional development of emerging artists.
