WORK    ABOUT    EN/ES

Book design showcasing the virtually unknown collection of illustrations by Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga in his role as a naturalist in the late 18th and early 19th centuries in the Río de la Plata region.

This collaborative project, spearheaded by Mariana Duarte and Carlos Serra in research and management, shines a spotlight on the remarkable but largely overlooked collection of illustrations created by the priest Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga during his tenure as a naturalist in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

This project secured funding from the National Culture Funds of Uruguay in 2016 for its publication, and additional support from the Incentive Fund in 2017. The result of this endeavor is three printed editions of the book.
