WORK    ABOUT    EN/ES

MIRA is an art fair that showcases the vitality of Latin America´s contemporary art scene. It will take place at the Maison de l'Amérique Latine, a historic mansion in the heart of Paris. An intimate event with a focus on quality, MIRA will host 20 galleries specializing in Latin American art.

As the fair’s design partner, Estudio Rotondo crafted MIRA’s identity and website. The visual inspiration came from the Atlantic Ocean, which has historically served as a vital conduit for exchange between Europe and the Americas. Now, the same sea will be used as a sustainable alternative to air freight to transport the fair´s artworks.

As a maritime connection, the Atlantic Ocean facilitated trade, migration, and the transmission of ideas. The ocean also witnessed the bleak legacy of colonization, including the Atlantic slave trade, as well as the most recent histories of Latin American diasporas.

This complex history of exchanges has shaped the unique identities of both continents, resulting in vibrant artistic traditions that blend European and American influences. A rich tapestry of artistic diversity.
